What is Shoulder Supraspinatus Tendonitis
The Supraspinatus muscle stabilizes the shoulder and helps in abduction, which means lifting up the arm sideways. In Shoulder Supraspinatus tendonitis the tendon of the Supraspinatus muscle commonly impinges under the Acromion (Bony process on the scapula), resulting in inflammation of the tendon, so the term Shoulder Supraspinatus tendonitis means inflammation of the tendon of the Supraspinatus muscle.

- Sharp, dull pain in or above the shoulder, sometimes associated with a burning sensation
- Swelling

- Difficulties with simple movements like – Putting on a shirt or jacket, brushing hair and difficulty in reaching the arm above shoulder height.

- X-Ray (to rule out any Fracture)

- Some specific movement test for tendons
