Spider veins usually don’t affect persons’ day to day lifestyle activities as there is no severe pain or discomfort, it only concerns cosmetic purposes only which can be corrected by herbal remedies. Here we will describe the whole concept of spider veins and treatment through ayurvedic methods.

INTRODUCTION

Spider veins are a very common disease these days which mostly affects obese persons, old age, during pregnancy and persons having family history but it rarely affects health conditions. It is a disease which damages superficial small blood vessels of our body. It is also known as telangiectasia or thread veins as in this disorder prominent thread like clusters of veins are formed under skin. These veins show discoloration and lose its elasticity ( loss its ability to shrink and re- establish ). These veins can occur anywhere in the body but usually it occurs in legs and face . Main reason behind spider veins is weak or damaged one way valves of blood vessels , as these valves maintain blood flow towards the heart. If valves get damaged then blood flows backward and vessels become spider like in appearance although swelling, discoloration occurs.
