It has been mentioned in Ayurvedic scriptures that skin diseases are caused by pitta dosha which is mainly due to the build of toxins in the blood and liver. Whenever we are in direct contact with the sun’s rays, toxins, intake of alcoholic beverages, stress, trauma, etc. It directly contributed to the impairment in Pitta dosha.  Ayurvedic treatment is based on the different skin types i.e. Pitta, Vata and Kapha skin type.
