Ayurvedic Treatment of Ewing Sarcoma
Bone cancer can begin in any bone, when healthy cells get altered and their growth gets out of control which in result forms a mass known as tumor. These tumors are carcinogenic in nature.
Malignant is defined as a tumor in the bone, which of course is cancerous. The Cortex of surrounding cells are damaged by the malignant tumors and spread infected cells to the nearby tissue. These infected cells can also spread to other parts of the body, when they reach in the bloodstream.
Benign tumor`s growth is large enough to suppress our surrounding tissues. Hence, weaken the bone and cause fractures.
It is a rare type of cancer that occurs in bones or in the soft tissues around the bones. This problem persists more commonly in males. The progression of disease begins in childhood or after 10 to 20 years of age. Its existence can be anywhere in the body, but most commonly in the pelvis and proximal long tubular bones. Due to translocation between chromosomes 11 as well as 22 and genetic exchange between chromosomes, cells start becoming carcinogenic.
The place of tumor formation is very important to detect the type of Ewing sarcoma. Usually, it starts from pelvis followed by the femur or thigh bone, and then it spreads rapidly to other bones, bone marrow and even vital organs like heart, kidneys, and lungs, etc.
1. Bone Tumor
Ewing sarcoma is the cancer of bone that mostly appears in the Thigh bones, Pelvis, Ribs or sometimes in the Shoulder blades.
2. Askin Tumor
Chest is an organ where this tumor is supposed to hit, that type of tumor is known as PPNET (Peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumor).
3. Soft Tissue (Extra-Osseous) Tumor
Cartilage or muscles are the main targets of this disease. Soft tissue around Cartilage or muscles are mostly affected by this disease.
4. Peripheral Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor (PPNET)
Nerves are the places; where this type of tumor is mainly persist. This tumor can also affect other parts of body.
Symptoms of Bone Cancer
There are no as such symptoms or signs of bone cancer and it is usually seen that initial symptoms of bone cancer taken mistakenly for other conditions .When healthy tissues, which surrounds the affected bone get presses only then some symptoms arises.
Visual Symptoms are
- Swelling: The areas, which are affected by bone cancer get easily
- Pain in the body with chills, night sweats, and
- Feeling of unwellness, anemia.
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite.
- Physical exertion can cause pain in bone
- Lump in skin, which while touching feels soft and warm.

According to Ayurveda Cancer is of 2 types
- Major Neoplasm
- Minor Neoplasm
Malignant or Major Neoplasm is known as Arbuda. Minor Neoplasm is known as Granthi. According to Ayurveda, when Vata dosha gets affected it may cause the cancer of bones. Ayurveda treats it by finding the root cause of bone cancer.
Ayurvedic Herbs which Helps in Treating it
1. Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera)
Ashwagandha is a herb that is best for treating many diseases in the body. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties helps in maintaining overall health of the body. It improves the immune system of the body and also nourishes the brain with all these properties. In short Ashwagandha herb is also very useful to shun away the Ewing`s sarcoma cancer.
2. Giloy (Guduchi)
It helps to increase the immunity of body and can manage the deficiency of calcium.
3. Coral (Parval Pishti)
