It maintains the kapha dosha along with vata dosha. There are various illnesses in which chandraprabha vati is widely used. It is useful for both male and females. It is a classical ayurvedic tablet which is firstly discussed in the ancient ayurvedic textbook of Sarngadhara samhita madhyama khanda 7/40-49.

Therapeutic uses of the ingredients

  • Karpura – Cinnamomum camphora:- It is an antioxidant which decreases swelling, pain and alleviates cough and cold features. It is also very useful for skin health.
  • Vacha – Acorus calamus:- It is a most renowned herb used for mental disorders and diseases of the nervous system. It is also known to possess carminative, digestive, diuretic and mildly sedative properties. It is also used in cough, sinus and cold features.
  • Musta – Cyperus rotundus:- It contains anti- microbial properties used for managing many fungal and bacterial infections. It helps in digestion and lowers blood sugar.

Dose:

The dosage of chandraprabha vati is 1-2 tablets (500mg) twice a day with milk or water.

Anupana

Chandraprabha vati can be consumed along with water, honey, milk and herbal decoction and guduchi.
